Our Story
Straßen Scout was founded by a team of passionate travelers and road trip enthusiasts who fell in love with Austria's stunning landscapes and meticulously maintained roadways.
What started as a personal blog sharing experiences of alpine drives through mountain passes, picturesque valleys, and alongside crystal-clear lakes has evolved into a comprehensive resource for travelers planning their Austrian road adventures.
Our mission is to provide accurate, up-to-date information about Austria's road network, toll systems, driving regulations, and most importantly, to showcase the incredible scenic routes that make this country a driver's paradise.
We've personally traveled every route featured on our site, taken our own photographs (when weather permitted!), and compiled detailed information to help fellow travelers enjoy safe and memorable journeys throughout Austria.
